Sales Associate – Cyber Security Solutions

Role purpose:

This is a role for Cyber Security Sales, will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and selling INFOSEC cybersecurity solutions to small, mid-market, and enterprise clients. The role will work closely with technical teams to understand client needs and position our products as the best-fit solutions to protect their digital assets.

Key accountabilities:

  • Prospect and generate new leads through cold outreach, networking, and referrals.
  • Conduct discovery calls and product demonstrations with potential clients.
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools.
  • Present and articulate the value of cybersecurity solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with solutions engineers and technical teams on proposals and RFP responses.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and close deals to meet or exceed monthly/quarterly goals.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients to drive renewals and upsell opportunities.
  • Stay current with cybersecurity trends, threats, and competitive landscape.
  • Attend industry events, webinars, and trade shows to represent the company and generate leads.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports to management.

Must have qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in B2B sales, technology sales, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales quotas and performance targets
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to explain complex technical solutions in simple, business-oriented terms
  • Proficiency in CRM software (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales, or equivalent)
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience selling cybersecurity, or IT solutions
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts: firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection, zero trust, cloud security
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or Cybersecurity Sales certifications
  • Experience with solution selling or consultative sales methodologies (MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger)
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, or GDPR
  • Existing network of IT decision makers or CISOs is a strong advantage.
